Each ICON piston is purpose built from the ground up for extreme high-performance street or racing applications. ICON FHR
Our FHR (Formed Head Relief) line of pistons delivers professional quality on an enthusiast budget. FHR pistons have valve reliefs that are formed into the piston as the forging blank is pressed into the die. Many of the FHR dome pistons feature a solid dome, which gives engine builders the flexibility to machine the dome to their desired compression ratio.
Built from 11% silicon 4032 aluminum, FHR pistons can be installed with tighter piston to wall clearance for quiet operation and increased piston stability. In addition, the use of 4032 aluminum decreases the friction created during engine operation, this results in extended piston life and reduced wear.

ICON Premium
ICON Premium pistons are designed to be application specific and are made from either 4032 or 2618 aluminum. 2618 aluminum has a lower silicon content than 4032 and is better suited for engine combinations with high compression or a power adder. A byproduct of having a lower silicon content, is an increased rate of thermal expansion. Because of this, pistons made from 2618 require more piston to cylinder wall clearance than their 4032 counterparts.
ICON Premium pistons include all the features of an FHR piston, with the addition of precision CNC machined valve reliefs and crown features, pressure fed pin bore oiling, and skirt and pin boss struts for increased strength and durability. ICON Premium pistons are built in a variety of compression ratios and are available for a wide range of engine types.

ICON Elite
Looking to step your engine program up to the next level? Then the ICON Elite series of pistons has exactly what you are looking for. Made exclusively from 2618 aluminum, the Elite series is purpose built from top to bottom to perform consistently in extreme conditions.
The Elite series features our Line2Line adaptive Skirt Technology Coating, to reduce friction between the piston and cylinder wall and provide additional protection at start-up. The Elite series also comes standard with an Anodized top ring groove and piston crown. The addition of Anodizing to the ring groove greatly reduces micro-welding that can occur under detonation conditions, and the Anodized piston crown helps to focus the heat in the piston crown and improve combustion efficiency.

ICON LCAT
If your build calls for a max effort piston, that can handle anything your engine can dish out, look no further than the ICON LCAT Series. The LCAT is the most feature rich “Off the Shelf” piston available on the market today. LCAT pistons are made from high strength 2618 aluminum, and feature not One, not Two, but Three protective barriers as standard features!
On the crown of every LCAT piston, you will notice the familiar top land and crown Anodizing from the Elite series of pistons. In addition, we apply our UltraTherm CM heat reflective thermal barrier to the piston crown. UltraTherm CM helps to lower temperatures and lowers the operating temperature of the piston crown during engine operation.
The skirts of every LCAT piston, receive our Line2Line Adaptive Skirt Technology coating. This abradable skirt coating allows the engine builder to install the piston with virtually zero piston to wall clearance. During operation, the skirt coating will hone in to create the perfect amount of clearance between the piston skirt and cylinder wall. Additionally, shock load and degradation to engine bearings is reduced.
